From the Sheriff

To the good citizens of Wabaunsee County, my name is Rob Hoskins and I am the Sheriff of Wabaunsee County.  I am a Kansas native and was raised in Augusta, Kansas and graduated from high school in 1977.  I attended college at Judson University in Elgin, Ill.  and then graduated with my B.A. from Wichita State University in 1984.  I later received my graduate certificate from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 2002.

I have been involved in law enforcement since 1983 and was certified by the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center in 1984.  I have worked for the Kearney County Sheriff’s Office and the Riley County Police Department.

I came to the Wabaunsee County Sheriff’s Office in 2005 and I was elected your sheriff in 2016 and I am very proud to serve the citizens of Wabaunsee County.  I hope to use my experience and education to the betterment of the Wabaunsee County Sheriff’s Office for as long as the citizens of this fine county allow.

I and my wife reside in Alma, Kansas and we have four sons and two grand-daughters.  I am proud to call Wabaunsee County my home.

The current staff of the sheriff’s office represent over 150 years of combined law enforcement experience.  These are dedicated and hardworking individuals.
